Bentley Motors has introduced the Beyond100 strategy, which, in particular, involves accelerated development of electrification. Company executives have already stated that by 2023, every model of Bentley will be available in a version with hybrid drive, and in 2025, the first electric car of the brand is planned to be released. By 2026, the company plans to switch to the production of only hybrid models with charging from the power grid, and by 2030 – fully electric cars, according to the press service of Bentley.
The brand’s vision for electric vehicles of the future is reflected in the all-electric EXP 100 GT concept car, presented in the year of Bentley’s 100th anniversary and featuring extensive use of eco-friendly materials. These include 5,000-year-old oak with copper threads, wool carpets made using traditional technologies, and textiles that imitate natural leather and are made from wine waste. For the production of current and future generations of cars, the Bentley brand will use only those materials that are obtained in compliance with the principles of environmental friendliness and sustainable development.
Bentley’s strategic goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 will be supported by a structured sustainability program that covers all areas of the company’s business. It provides for the transformation of the model range towards electrified models and further improvement of operating activities to reduce the negative impact on the environment. This also applies to first-level supply chains, as well as cooperation with the dealer network.
